Command Training

As professional mariners with on average 21 years sea service each and having served in a number of key managerial positions including Command of vessels with a crew of more than 1,000 and over 200m in length, we are available to discuss any situation or question you may have with respect to the day to day operations of your vessel.

For those individuals who have reached the proud position of Captain, we can assist you with a smooth transition to these new responsibilities providing advice and guidance on the complexities and rewards of this authoritative post.

Crew Fire Training on board

We can provide a programme tailored to your vessel to cover everything from technical advice for the new build, to providing trainers to put your crew through their paces on board in a number of fire exercies.  These can range from simple gash bag fires to full emergencies and will test not only the skills and knowledge of the front line team, but also the Command leadership abilities.

What's vital however is that it's all done through careful management.  We table top the exercises beforehand, discuss the vessel procedures, get to know the team, walk through the scenarios and then conduct them.  At every stage we work with the crew to hear their views, discuss their thoughts and debrief the team.  Everyone has an input and no-one is left out.  Everyone must work as a team to maintain the vessel safety and it's our job to help you get the best out of all those on board.

Bridge Team Training

As experienced Command and Navigation instructors we are able to observe your bridge team underway and having highlighted areas that could be fine tuned or adjusted, will work with you to improve their efficiency of operation or understanding of ship handling and practical navigation.  By working together we can further improve the safety of your vessel and crew at all times.

ETO

In days of old, the task of the Engineering Technician was relatively simple - a few TV's, DVD's, phone systems and basic wiring diagram was enough to keep them busy but nothing beyond their capabilities.  Now with the advent of satellite communications, internal wireless networks, data streaming around the vessel, electronic navigation systems, numerous automated entertainment equipments and a whole host of other 'toys', you need to carefully consider if this individual or team (if lucky enough to have a number of them) is trained to a competent level.  If in any doubt or unsure, please talk to us.
