The steps to acceditation for those vessels wishing to operate paperless or simply for those members of crew who want to get ahead of the game and obtain the necessary certification is something Da Gama are able to help with. ECDIS Limited have taken the IMO 1.27 course model for the instruction of ECDIS and not only achieved DNV, MCA and many other Flag State approvals, but have significantly rasied the standard. Their five day course is now regarded as one of, if not the best in the country. They can provide generic training to meet the necessary regulations in addition to type specific training on certain ECDIS, the number of which is growing all the time. Having trained crews in both Superyachts and the Merchant shipping community, their course notes, guides and handy cribs are found in more and more crew cabins and on the bridges of an increasing number of ships.
